ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Katie.

I am a writer based in Brooklyn, born and raised in New Jersey. I graduated from Princeton with a bachelor's degree in English and received a master's degree in film and screen studies at Cambridge.

I studied as a member of the BMI Lehman Engels Musical Theatre Workshop as both a bookwriter (2022-2023) and a lyricist (2023-2025). I write plays and am currently developing a few musical projects with my composer collaborator, John Carroll.

While I enjoy movies mostly as a couch critic these days, I have extensive prior experience in film criticism. I am a Rotten Tomatoes-approved film critic and have covered festivals in the U.S. and abroad.
